At Home By JAC, we believe stunning design doesn’t have to come at the expense of the planet—or your budget. When a client asked me to refresh her space inspired by the wild flowers of the Northeast, I knew we could create something beautiful, feminine, and fun. The client was clear on her color pallet of purples, yellows, and greens…But there was one important request: everything would be secondhand through Facebook Marketplace, Goodwill, and local Sarasota consignment shops.
With a little patience and a lot of vision, we found some gorgeous items items such as:
· Flowing green curtains that soften the light and anchor the space
· A charming wood side table with curved legs and loads of character
· Lavender pillow covers that bring softness and whimsy
· Vintage marble cat bookends
· Eggplant and saffron-colored vases that became instant focal points
I also styled the dining shelves, placed art to balance the living space, and brought it all together with a hands-on install afternoon that completely transformed the space. The best part is knowing the client is enjoying the space every day!
“ I am loving my space so much. It gives me the same feeling as when I see the highway wildflowers!”
This project proves that sustainable design can be just as stylish—and even more personal. Ready to rethink your space? Let’s chat.
